Our purpose is to bring clarity to all aspects of financial decision making and we do this by providing zero cost to consumer market insights, research findings, data and the necessary resources needed to empower UK consumers to make informed decisions that they can trust, feel confident in and that best suits their unique financial goals and needs.

1.0.   Introduction & Overview

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) of Mintify Limited, a company registered in England & Wales, registration number 15163923 and registered office at 6501, 321-323 High Road, Chadwell Heath, Essex, RM6 6AX (“Mintify” “we” “us” or “our”), outlines how your personally identifiable information and other information about you (your “user information”) will be collected, used, and shared in connection with your access to and/or use of mintify.uk (the “Site”) and any content, features, services, or other offerings that we may provide (collectively, our “Services”). This includes email communications or newsletters that we may send in connection with your use of the Site. This Privacy Statement also describes your choices and rights regarding the use, access to and correction or deletion of your user information in compliance with the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the guidelines set forth by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

By using the Site and/or Services, you acknowledge that you understand that we will use your user information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. 2.0.   What this Privacy Policy covers

This Privacy Policy covers the Site and our Services only. While you may encounter links on the Site or Services to other websites, such as those relating to social media, please note that these websites are not covered by this Privacy Policy.

The privacy and information practices of those third parties are not covered by this Privacy Policy. To learn more about such third party policies, we encourage you to read and review the privacy statements of each third party service that you may choose to use. This Privacy Policy applies only to user information collected by us.

Information collected directly from you:

Your information is vital to ensuring we are able to continue providing zero cost to consumer market insights, research findings, data and the necessary resources needed to empower UK consumers to make informed decisions that they can trust, feel confident in and that best suits their unique financial goals and needs. We use it in various ways to provide our Services and operate our business. Some of the primary purposes for which we use your information include:
 

  • Maintaining and enhancing our Site and Services, including the development of new features and functionality.
  • Analysing usage patterns and user preferences across different devices to better understand and serve our users.
  • Implementation of fraud detection and ongoing information security.
  • Using your email address or other personal information for internal compliance purposes, such as customer service communication, addressing intellectual property, privacy rights, or defamation concerns related to content posted on our Site and/or Services. Performance of a Contract

We may use your personal information when it is necessary to fulfil the terms and conditions or other policies governing the provision of our Services. In order to provide you with the services related to using the Site and managing your account we will:

  • Search the websites of financial institutions to provide you with accurate data and access information required to provide you with the relevant services you are requesting.
  • Administer your account.

We need to process your personal information because it is necessary to perform the contract that we have in place with you when using our Site and/or Services.

  • Partners or Affiliates. When you request that we share your information.
  • Service Providers. When necessary to provide our services to you.
  • Legal Obligations. We may be required by law to disclose your user information, such as sharing information with regulators, as mandated by the Financial Conduct Authority or in response to legal requests. For instance, when you click through to an advertiser or partner, we may share information with them to enable them to recognise that you were referred to their services through us, facilitating an understanding of your purchase journey. In our efforts to offer a comprehensive suite of services, we collaborate with partners or provide links to partner websites. These partners may independently collect and process your personal data or receive your contact details directly for a more in-depth understanding of your product requirements. Our partnerships are designed to ensure mutual information sharing only to the extent necessary for the provision of our services. We clearly indicate when you are leaving our website to visit a partner’s site. 7.0.   How long do we keep your data

We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, or until you request its deletion. This may include circumstances where we are legally obliged to retain data for tax and accounting purposes or to fulfil regulatory responsibilities, such as managing complaints. As relevant, we will retain personal data for:

  • Six years for tax and accounting purposes.
  • The duration required by law if you provided us with data related to the purchase of a financial product, which may vary based on the product type or category.

8.0.   Privacy of Children

The Site and Services are intended for people who are at least 16 years of age. If you are less than 16 years old, please do not send any user information to us, including information such as your name, address, or email address. We do not knowingly collect (nor do we wish to collect) any user information from children under the age of 16.  In the event that we have discovered we have collected user information from a child under the age of 16, we will delete that information from our database and terminate the corresponding account, if any.  We encourage you to discuss the Site and Services with your parent or guardian.

Upholding the highest standards of data protection to safeguard and protect the personal identifiable information of our users and customers is fundamental to our mission and business. Your user information is stored on Mintify servers located in the United Kingdom. We treat data as an asset that must be protected against loss and unauthorised access whilst in transit and at rest and, as such, use industry standard physical, electronic, and organisational safeguards to protect your user information against disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We employ many different security techniques to protect such data from unauthorised access by users inside and outside the company and, if we share your information to any third parties, we will only do so if they provide the necessary assurances that they maintain the same levels of security and privacy as ourselves.
